The invitation is to move your Gratitude and Connection to all people, family members or loved ones in our different communities!<\/p>\n
As we approach our Thanksgiving Holiday, we have so much to be grateful for. The aftermath of Hurricane Helene was devastating and emotional for us all. Throughout our difficulties connections to our different communities remain strong! It is important to give a hug, prepare food, donate to those in need, offer showers to those who have no clean water, help clean up efforts of devastated areas around town. We need that support to feel love from others and connected to our communities! Take some time to show appreciation to everyone in our surrounding communities!<\/p>\n
About 5Rhythms\u00ae
\nCreated by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide. 5Rhythms\u00ae is a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principles that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself.<\/p>\n
About Karen:
\n5Rhythms dance is for everyone. This meditative instructional dance practice which is created by dancer and visionary Gabriellle Roth. Accredited 5Rhythms teacher Karen Chapman has been hosting dances in Asheville and around the country for 8 years. Through the dance, Karen acts as an instructional movement leader for the dancer to have a journey through the rhythms, based on how does the body move and change through this fast paced world?<\/p>\n
Time: 10am-12pm
\nFee: $15-25, no one turned away
\nThis movement class will be held once a month upon a scheduled date.<\/p>\n
Movement Timeline:
\nWarmup: 10am-10:30am
\nCircle: 10:30am-10:45am, invitation for movement, demo the 5Rhythms, answer any questions that may arise
\nMovement: 10:45 am- 12pm, we will move to the Wave music and I will provide instructional exercises throughout our movement session.
\nSound Healing Session: 11:30-12:00 noon given by Erika Bear Banwell
\nClosing Circle: 12:00-12:05 we will gather in our closing circle to make closure for our class. <\/p>\n
Sound Healer: Erika Bear Banwell
\nErika “Bear” Banwell began performing Therapeutic Vibrational Sound Baths after receiving a healing treatment in Bali, Indonesia in 2020. Not only did her experience open her eyes to the incredible emotional and mental benefits of sound vibration but she discovered that the tonal power of the gong would greatly hasten the recovery of her recent shoulder injury.
\nNow, one of her greatest passions, Sound Therapy, along with Chakra Meditation Breathwork, is helping so many find direction, self-compassion and inner strength as well as better sleep, relaxation and peace of mind. Bear is also a Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner, Trust Technique Practitioner and Intuitive. She works with animals as well and human.<\/p>\n
This class counts for 2hrs of Waves credit for classes!<\/p>\n
