Buckskin also has a distinct campfire-like smell from the process of \u201csmoking the hide\u201d, which will give your treasures a truly beautiful and unique home. By using our hands and working with tanned animal skins to craft something useful and beautiful, we grow our connection to the natural world that sustains us. Deer hides and other animal skins and hides are often seen as byproducts and discarded.
