Blair Crimmins &amp; The Hookers bring the magic of 1920s ragtime and Dixieland jazz to life with a touch of rock and roll. <\/p>\n<p>Starting his music career in Atlanta, Georgia, Crimmins set out with a mission: to introduce the sounds of classic American jazz to new audiences. Playing small rock clubs around the Southeast, he developed a style that is deeply rooted in the past yet undeniably contemporary. Today, the band\u2019s electrifying performances have captivated audiences across the U.S. and abroad, including tours in Italy and festival stages alongside renowned acts like Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Old Crow Medicine Show.<\/p>\n<p>A multi-instrumentalist on guitar, banjo, and piano, Crimmins writes songs and intricate arrangements for a classic New Orleans horn section, featuring trumpet, clarinet, and trombone. His debut release, The Musical Stylings Of, became a college radio sensation on WRAS Atlanta, making him the station\u2019s most requested artist. In 2012, Crimmins showcased his versatility by composing the full score for the independent short film Old Man Cabbage. His lyrical ingenuity earned him the title of Best Songwriter in Creative Loafing\u2019s Best of ATL issue in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Crimmins\u2019 discography reflects his wide-ranging talent and relentless creativity. His album Sing-A-Longs! earned him a nomination for Best Jazz Artist at The Georgia Music Awards. Subsequent releases include the critically acclaimed You Gotta Sell Something (2017), a children\u2019s album titled All Aboard (2019), and the innovative Okay Boom! (2021), which features swinging covers of favorites ranging from Louis Armstrong to David Bowie.
