On the weekend of the anniversary of Hurricane Helene, we will move to Empowerment vs. Disempowerment. Empowerment is the positive charge feeling in the body, self-determination and growth! Disempowerment is the loss of charge feeling in the body, the feeling of helplessness and lack of choice!<\/p>\n
Remembering what Asheville went through with this powerful storm on the feeling of Empowerment vs. Disempowerment in our bodies. We have experienced intense emotions and feelings around this storm that has disrupted our lives forever. How we have come together and are resilient as a community to rebuild and bounce back in so many ways! Join us for this movement exploration in class.<\/p>\n
Mickeeley Salamanca, from Lincolnton, NC, will offer Breath Work for 45 mins during our Stillness ending of class! Mickeeley, is an energy healer and mentor for women who feel the call to rise, remember, and reclaim the magic within. Using breathwork, Human Design, and intuitive healing, she helps you release old stories and return home to your most authentic self.<\/p>\n

About Karen:
\n5Rhythms dance is for everyone. This meditative instructional dance practice which is created by dancer and visionary Gabriellle Roth. Accredited 5Rhythms teacher Karen Chapman has been hosting dances in Asheville and around the country for 9 years. Through the dance, Karen acts as an instructional movement leader for the dancer to have a journey through the rhythms, based on how does the body move and breathe in through a changing and fast paced world?
\nThis movement class will be held once a month upon a scheduled date.<\/p>\n
Movement Timeline:
\nWarmup: 10am-10:45am
\nCircle: 10:45 am-11:00am, invitation for movement, demo the 5Rhythms, answer any questions that may arise
\nMovement: 11:00 am- 12 noon, we will move to the Wave music and I will provide instructional exercises throughout our movement session.
\nSometimes we will have Brandi and students to drum live for warmup for us, Mickeely Salamanca from Lincolnton, NC will offer Breath Work and Tracy Gimbel from Catawba, NC will offer Sound Baths!
