The North Carolina Arboretum, The Big Crafty, and ArtsAVL are excited to announce The Little Crafty, a new, intimate craft market celebrating regional artists, nature-inspired making, and the creative spirit of Western North Carolina.<\/p>\n

Taking place Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, from 1\u20136 p.m. in the Arboretum\u2019s Auditorium, The Little Crafty will feature a carefully curated group of artists whose work draws inspiration from the natural world \u2014 botanicals, landscapes, wildlife, and the handmade traditions of the Blue Ridge.<\/p>\n

Framed by the Arboretum\u2019s living collections and winter landscapes, The Little Crafty invites visitors to engage with art that grows from nature meeting craftsmanship, and the event is timely for warm Valentine’s Day gift-giving.<\/p>\n

The weekend\u2019s artists echo the imaginative, nature-forward ethos of the Arboretum\u2019s current exhibition TROLLS: A Field Study by artist Thomas Dambo, creating a dialogue between art, environment, and community.<\/p>\n

Admission: The Little Crafty is free to attend, but there is a parking fee for The NC Arboretum. As part of the celebration, Sunday, February 8 will be a free Community Day, with the Arboretum\u2019s parking fee waived to encourage broad community participation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
