The BRO \u2018Booms\u2019 with percussive explosions in Natalie Williams\u2019s Sonic Boom, Chaminade\u2019s Callirho\u00eb Suite, Stravinsky\u2019s \u201cBerceuse\u201d and \u201cFinale\u201d from the 1919 version of the Suite from The Firebird, and Ravel\u2019s orchestration of Mussorgsky\u2019s \u201cPictures at an Exhibition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese works are just thrilling,\u201d says Music Director Emily Eng. \u201cOur program celebrates some of the most percussive moments in the orchestral repertoire. But don\u2019t worry: not everything is loud and booming. Soft and sensitive passages build to the moments of triumph and grandeur. We look forward to bringing you on that journey with us!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The BRO\u2019s home at UNC Asheville is undergoing a multi-year scheduled renovation. While displaced from Lipinsky Hall, we are thrilled to express reverberating, joyful melodies at venues near you!
