The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Symphony in the Park
Join the Asheville Symphony for a spectacular night of music under the stars at the beloved Symphony in the Park, presented by Givens Communities and returning for its second year as part of Boomtown FestAVL! This year’s Symphony in the Park features award-winning vocalist Erica Gabriel. Accomplished in a wide range of styles including jazz, musical theatre, opera, and gospel, we are excited to welcome her back for her third performance with the Asheville Symphony!

As always, Symphony in the Park is free and open to the public, but you can reserve your seat to beat the crowds and have a hassle-free experience.

A ticketed seat for Symphony in the Park includes a camping chair in the reserved VIP section, which is directly behind sponsor tables and close to the Pack Square stage. We encourage you to arrive early for the best availability in the reserved seating selection and parking downtown! At the end of the night, your chair is yours to take.
