On Friday and Saturday, March 25–26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., stop by Grovewood Gallery for their annual spring Sip & Shop. There will be artist demonstrations, complimentary wine, and ten percent off everything in the gallery.

From noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, Grovewood studio artist Helen Purdum will show you how she creates imaginative surface designs on her bisque-fired bowls and cups. Be sure to heck out the colorful caricatures in her “Girlfriends” series.

And then from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, art instructor Krista Skrede will demonstrate the intricate art of paper cutting as she fashions delicate—and often dramatic—two- and three-dimensional compositions.

Andy Hale, sommelier from Metro Wines in Asheville, will also be on hand to answer questions from 3–5 p.m. on Saturday.

Grovewood Gallery is located at 111 Grovewood Road, adjacent to the Omni Grove Park Inn. For more information, visit grovewood.com or call 828.253.7651. Also located on the Grovewood grounds are the Estes-Winn Antique Car Museum, the North Carolina Homespun Museum, and Grovewood Studios (working artist studios). Free parking for gallery patrons is available on the Grovewood grounds.
