When we think of spring fashion, we usually imagine clothing with soft floral patterns and matching sandals. This month’s Wonderland Fashion Fantasy Show, however, isn’t your typical seasonal fashion event. This experience—on Sunday, May 15, from 5:30–9:30 p.m.—combines an Alice in Wonderland-inspired style, craft beer, and a pizza cook-off contest. The event will take place at Highland Brewing Company’s new event venue. The fashion show is part of the annual Pizza PanDemonium event, produced by Rock Eblen of Bioflyer Productions, during which restaurants compete for the title of best gourmet pizza.

In addition to enjoying pizza and beer available for purchase, attendees will also be entertained with musical performances by Kendra Warren, the Hank West Band, and Andalyn Lewis with a surprise guest appearance by a rising country music star.
Directed by model and actress Ginger Wilde, of Gage Models and Talent, the Wonderland Fashion Fantasy Show will feature nearly 30 models in garments created by both established and emerging designers. Each was inspired by one of Lewis Carroll’s famous characters, such as the Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Alice and many more.
Proceeds from this event benefit Appalachian Angels of WNC and Eblen Charities. VIP tickets ($30) include preferred seating, complimentary pizza, and three craft beers. General admission tickets for adults 21 and older are $17 in advance, $20 at the door and include two drinks. Tickets are $12 for ages 13–20, $6 for ages 5–12, and free for children four and younger. Tickets can be purchased at highlandbrewing.com or at the door.
