More than 20 works by local photographer and artist John Haldane are in an exhibit titled “Uniquely Asheville” that opened in April and will run through July 14 at Green Sage Café in the Westgate Shopping Center.
To create his art, John uses cameras, computer software and other digital tools, and often acrylic paints. Sometimes he starts with a photograph or an idea on a computer, while other times he just begins painting. “My art always begins in my head,” says John. “It evolves in response to music I hear, the weather, or good vibrations (or maybe something I ate!).
His work has been featured in calendars, books, and magazines, including The Laurel of Asheville, and has been exhibited at Asheville Regional Airport.
