AmiciMusic celebrates Memorial Day with a special program of music from the World War II era. “Live at the USO” will feature vocalists Amanda Horton and Jonathan Ross, along with pianist Daniel Weiser, AmiciMusic’s artistic director. The concert will include music from South Pacific and On the Town, along with such songs as “GI Jive” and “Moonlight Serenade.”
Amanda and Jonathan both live in the Asheville area and have had several leading roles with the Asheville Lyric Opera, as well as solos with numerous other musical organizations in the region, including the Asheville Symphony Chorus and the Carolina Concert Choir. There will be three performances of “Live at the USO.”

AmiciMusic will also present two concerts on Memorial Day weekend featuring Joseph and John DeMasi. The DeMasi Brothers are world-class folk musicians who have appeared on Good Morning America and regularly on NPR radio. Performances will be at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, at Isis, and at a house concert in Asheville’s Beaverdam neighborhood at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 30.
