Spring Events at Asheville Salt Cave Invite Visitors to Slow Down and Reconnect

Sound healing with Latoya Salter at Asheville Salt Cave

This spring, Asheville Salt Cave will host two installments of Golden Hour Yoga + Salt Cave as well as a Full Moon Sound Journey.

During the Full Moon Sound Journey on Saturday, May 2, at 6 p.m., Latoya Salter will guide participants through meditation, intention-setting and sound healing. “In a time where things are changing rapidly and people are moving so quickly and carrying so much, gatherings like these offer a chance to pause, reset and come back to themselves,” says Salter. “My work with sound has grown in a really beautiful and organic way, rooted in my own experiences of needing spaces that felt both grounding and restorative. Being able to offer that to others now feels deeply meaningful.”

Salter says the salt cave itself plays a central role in shaping the experience. “Between the gentle acoustics and the naturally calming and grounding atmosphere, it allows participants to drop into a deeper state of relaxation more easily,” she says. “There’s also a beautiful synergy between the benefits of the salt cave and sound healing—both support the nervous system in slowing down and restoring balance. Together, they create an experience that feels intentional, immersive and deeply nourishing.”

Later in the month, Golden Hour Yoga + Salt Cave returns on Thursday, May 28, and Friday, June 26, from 6–8 p.m. The experience begins with time inside the cave before transitioning outdoors for a gentle yoga flow timed with sunset, overlooking downtown and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“We’re encouraging guests to disconnect from their days and allow time for a deep surrender to settle in and let everything else melt away,” says yoga instructor Ceiara Cartony. “The low-lit space naturally invites stillness, softening the edges of a busy mind and giving the nervous system a chance to reset. It creates a kind of quiet foundation that supports everything that follows.”

In addition to these public offerings, Asheville Salt Cave is expanding its availability for private gatherings, providing a setting for small group events. “The unique venue offers a mindful alternative for family reunions, engagements, women’s groups, wellness retreats and corporate ‘unplugged’ retreats for groups of up to 17,” says creative director Gemma Dalton. “Inquire about adding on a yoga nidra or sound journey to your time with us.”
