Holiday Wedge Walk Features Small Works of Art

Holiday Wedge Walk

Designed by Kristin Foley

Artists at the Wedge Studios in the River Arts District will display their holiday collection at an opening reception on Friday, December 9, from 4–7 p.m. Titled Miniature, the exhibit features small works of art that offer a sneak peek into each artist’s unique creation process. Works are for sale and the showcase will be open to the public until Christmas Day.

“Our Holiday Wedge Walk is gearing up to be a great addition to this upcoming holiday season,” says Kristin Foley, Wedge Studio artist. “We wanted to host an event that would give people a chance to stop by the studio for an opportunity to meet the artists while shopping for affordable works of art for their loved ones. We also wanted to give back to our community and help those in need.”

Each artist in the Wedge offers a different perspective and the miniature forms will allow guests to examine the process and innovation behind each piece. The open house gives patrons the chance to explore and enjoy the larger works throughout the studio by featured artists. Each studio room celebrates artistry in a different way and guests will enjoy a variety of food and beverages at each exhibit.

During the reception, guests are welcome to bring a donation to benefit the Eblen Charities Saint Nicholas Project. The charity collects toys and other gift items for parents to give to their children and teenagers during the holidays.

The Wedge is located at 122 Roberts Street. If you are unable to attend the opening December 9, works will be available for viewing and purchase until Christmas Day. Studio hours for individual artists vary. For more information, visit wedgestudioartists.com.
