Beekeeping 102: Ins & Outs of Beekeeping

November 11 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$40

In part two of this two-part Beginner Beekeeping series, the Ins & Outs of Beekeeping will cover everything you need to know to get your own beekeeping operation started! Beekeeping 101 is NOT a prerequisite for this workshop.

Led by Carmen of Feral Farms Beekeeping, this lecture-based workshop participants will cover everything you need to know to get started in beekeeping – from acquiring bees and equipment to choosing the right location for your apiary and protecting your hives from predators. Expect to leave with a general understanding of the beekeeping season in WNC and the realistic knowledge, work, and cost required to keep a honeybee colony happy and healthy throughout the year.

Walk away with the foundation and knowledge to become a responsible steward of these small but mighty pollinator friends and a copy of the “Ins & Outs of Beekeeping” presentation.
