Blair Crimmins & The Hookers
September 20, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$38.00
Hendersonville Theatre welcomes Blair Crimmins & The Hooker as September’s intimate HT’s Hometown Sound Music Series concert! Blair Crimmins & The Hookers bring the magic of 1920s ragtime and Dixieland jazz to life with a touch of rock and roll.
Starting his music career in Atlanta, Georgia, Crimmins set out with a mission: to introduce the sounds of classic American jazz to new audiences. Playing small rock clubs around the Southeast, he developed a style that is deeply rooted in the past yet undeniably contemporary. Today, the band’s electrifying performances have captivated audiences across the U.S. and abroad, including tours in Italy and festival stages alongside renowned acts like Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Old Crow Medicine Show.
A multi-instrumentalist on guitar, banjo, and piano, Crimmins writes songs and intricate arrangements for a classic New Orleans horn section, featuring trumpet, clarinet, and trombone. His debut release, The Musical Stylings Of, became a college radio sensation on WRAS Atlanta, making him the station’s most requested artist. In 2012, Crimmins showcased his versatility by composing the full score for the independent short film Old Man Cabbage. His lyrical ingenuity earned him the title of Best Songwriter in Creative Loafing’s Best of ATL issue in 2013.
Crimmins’ discography reflects his wide-ranging talent and relentless creativity. His album Sing-A-Longs! earned him a nomination for Best Jazz Artist at The Georgia Music Awards. Subsequent releases include the critically acclaimed You Gotta Sell Something (2017), a children’s album titled All Aboard (2019), and the innovative Okay Boom! (2021), which features swinging covers of favorites ranging from Louis Armstrong to David Bowie. Each project showcases his ability to blend vintage influences with modern flair, keeping the spirit of ragtime alive for audiences of all ages.
Whether performing at festivals, intimate venues, or international stages, Blair Crimmins & The Hookers deliver unforgettable, high-energy shows that honor the legacy of ragtime and jazz while adding their own daring, youthful edge. With a mix of original songs, masterful arrangements, and a stage presence that oozes charisma, Crimmins is not only reviving the genre—he’s redefining it.
Swing into the world of Blair Crimmins & The Hookers and experience a revival of ragtime like never before. You can learn more about the band at blaircrimminsandthehookers.com.
