Asheville Baroque Concerts presents Gems of the Obscure. Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba, and Daniel Swenberg, lute and theorbo, join forces in a program of beautiful solos and duos by composers you’ve most likely never heard of! Fall in love with the most obscure composers of the Baroque era who were loved and respected in their lifetimes, but didn’t quite make it into the music history books.
Works by Carolus Hacquart, August and Johann Michael Kühnel, LeMoyne, St. Luc, and Jean Cappus.
