Hear Here: Featuring Detective Blind + O•VAD•YA
May 28, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10 – $12
Get inside Asheville’s rock, indie and experimental music scenes through “Hear Here,” a new series co-presented by Citizen Vinyl and “The Overlook with Matt Peiken” podcast. Each evening mixes live performances and on-stage interviews, exclusively featuring local bands, their new original music and the inside stories behind them. Be there live, then tune into the podcast.
The series continues 7pm Tuesday, May 28, at Citizen Vinyl with an all-female lineup featuring the Asheville bands Detective Blind and O•VAD•YA. Detective Blind is an indie rock trio of three sisters who have released a handful of original songs. O•VAD•YA is a neo-psychedelic quintet shaped as much by rock as world music.
Both bands are performing five-song sets and sitting for interviews with Asheville journalist Matt Peiken. The Overlook with Matt Peiken is a podcast focusing on the news, arts, issues and trends of Asheville and can be heard on every podcasting platform. In 2023, readers of Mountain Xpress voted it the region’s best podcast.
