The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Limestone Gumption Fundraiser

An evening of top professional entertainment, side-splitting laughter, free delicious hand-crafted food, and a cash bar on Monday September 30th from 6:00-8:00. The free event will be held at Citizen Vinyl (website: citizenvinyl.com) 14 O’Henry Avenue in downtown Asheville to kick off a fundraiser for the campy LIMESTONE GUMPTION: THE STAGE MUSICAL.
The event is fiscally sponsored by Asheville Creative Arts.
Handcrafted food by:
Michelle Bailey, former executive chef at Smoky Park Supper Club. Renowned for her deftness with live fire cooking, Michelle’s food is a soulful homage to her Appalachian roots.
Performances by:
· Hazel Brindley and The Rolling Piano
· Delighted ToBeHere, a live singing drag queen as seen on “America’s Got Talent,” performs a hilarious set
· Channeling Granny
