The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Minds of All Kinds Annual Summit

The Minds of All Kinds Annual Summit is a full-day event designed to support neurodivergent high school students as they prepare for the transition to college. The summit offers an engaging, informative look at campus life, the supports available at WWC, and the pathways that help students thrive academically and socially.
For Families and Prospective Students:
– Explore our campus through guided tours
– Attend panel discussions featuring students, faculty, and campus partners
– Learn about academic, social, and residential supports designed for neurodivergent learners
– Ask questions and connect with our community, gaining a genuine sense of what it feels like to be part of WWC
For Educators, Counselors, and Other Professionals:
Professionals will participate in skills-based, practice-enhancing professional-development breakout sessions focused on effectively supporting neurodivergent students during the high school–to–college transition. Participants will receive certificates for completed training hours, making the summit a meaningful way to build expertise and deepen impact.
