Modelface Comedy Presents Jared Kassebaum at LaZoom
October 3 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm
$15Modelface Comedy brings you the best comedians from all over the country. This week we have Jared Kassebaum from Los Angeles!
Jared Kassebaum is an LA-based comic whose first album, “The Better Jared”, hit #1 on iTunes in 2023 and can be heard played on SiriusXM. He performs nationally but is originally from Indiana, where he misses driving through the cornfields, but does not miss ONLY driving through the cornfields.
At colleges, clubs, and festivals around the country, Jared charms audiences with his unique blend of naive storytelling, witty wordplay, and occasional song on a child keyboard. He’s convinced that makes the songs funnier, even if the venue has a nice piano. A big fan of his PhD biochemist father, Jared planned to be a scientist his whole life, but, after going to a university with the aim to get a PhD in physics, a tragedy struck as one of his best friends took his own life, and he realized he didn’t want to take measurements in a lab anymore. His brand of earnest jokes reflects this, both through his desire to wonder at the ridiculousness of life, and through his scientific dissection of language. At 6’5”, he raises your town’s average height, if raising your average joy isn’t enough.
