Story/Arts Residency Night 2: Beyond the Myth

July 18, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$10 – $50

Join Story Parlor for the second iteration of its summer Story/Arts Residency, welcoming local artist Carolina Quiroga for a month-long exploration of myth and archetype.

For this second night of the 2024 Residency, artist-in-residence Carolina Quiroga will delve into the mythology of fathers and prevailing narratives passed down throughout time. From tales traversing heroic figures, absent gods, and the archetype of the “breadwinner,” the evening will explore and challenge how perspectives of paternal roles have shaped our cultures and family dynamics.

The Mythology of Fathers will feature stories by artist-in-residence, Carolina Quiroga, along with a guest performance by Joe Carroll.

For the second portion of the evening, audience members will be invited to reflect and share in a communal storytelling circle. (Sharing is completely optional!)
