Artist, Melanie Finlayson
Beginning with an opening reception from 6–8 P.M. on Friday, June 3, and running through July 29, New Ink: Asheville Printmakers Group Show will feature new prints by members of the organization, as well as prints by invited artists. The exhibit, free and open to the public, will be on display in the Madison County Arts Council Gallery, located at 90 S. Main Street in Marshall.
Asheville Printmakers Group (ashevilleprintmakers.org) works to further printmaking in the arts community. It embraces a broad definition of print that includes most works in which artists are engaged in the production process: relief and intaglio methods (such as woodblocks, linocuts, engravings, etchings, collographs, and photogravure), and monotypes and alternative photographic printing processes.
The Asheville Printmakers meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Email email@example.com for the time and location of the next meeting.
