Terra Marshall
Named after the original pinup girl magazine from the 1930s, Beauty Parade is a full-service salon in the heart of West Asheville. “I’ve always been into the pinup and vintage mid-60s modern style,” says Terra Marshall, who opened Beauty Parade with husband Bryan in October of 2003. The business’s longstanding success comes as no surprise given the professional and talented stylists, welcoming atmosphere, and fun, upbeat vibe.
Beauty Parade offers custom cuts for men, women, and children, as well as color, corrective color, facial waxing, global keratin protein smoothing treatment, massage, and full accommodations for large wedding parties. Massage is available by appointment and chair massage is an option on select days. The shop carries Framesi’s line of hair coloring and styling products. Terra has been a Framesi certified technician for 16 years and two stylists are in the process of earning their certification as well.
Terra says developing relationships with clients is her favorite part of the job. Looking to grow the team, Beauty Parade is currently hiring stylists for either booth rental or commission.
