Artist, Reda Kay
Reda Kay creates her abstract paintings by using layers of watercolor acrylic and texturing materials. Her works are in an exhibit titled “Surrendering to Mystery” that will run throughout the month of June at Asheville Gallery of Art. There will be a public reception with the artist from 5:30–8 P.M. on Friday, June 3.
Her landscapes, which all contain an element of mystery that invites viewers to examine and contemplate them, are designed and communicated through rich, bold colors and monotones. She says her paintings are inspired by her global travels, and by the people and places that unite our human spirit with the natural environment.
Asheville Gallery of Art is located at 82 Patton Avenue across from Pritchard Park. Gallery hours are 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Monday through Saturday, and 1–4 P.M. on Sunday.
