Asheville Fashion Week Showcases a Thriving Industry
By Teryn Worsham
During the second annual Asheville Fashion Week, from Wednesday through Saturday, August 3–6, more than a hundred models will represent at least a dozen designers and boutiques in runway shows that spotlight local talent, as well as products and services, related to fashion, beauty, and luxury.
“Last year we had a very successful and stunning series of runway shows. Attendees can expect the same great production value and designs,” says Sarah Merrell, Asheville Fashion Week community director. “This event will showcase some of the amazing talent we have right here in Asheville.”

Gage Talent sponsors the series of events. Promoting emerging talent is one outcome of Fashion Week, which aims to provide connections to products and services while creating buzz for Asheville’s growing fashion industry. Back this year is designer Rachele Bailey who says she is looking forward to revealing new pieces for men and women this year, including men’s swimwear.
