Grand Bohemian: Diana Fakhoury Jewelry Trunk Show

A jewelry trunk show, titled “Trilogy: Exoticism, Geometry, Romance” and featuring creations by Diana Fakhoury, will take place from 5:30–8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 15–16, at the Grand Bohemian Gallery, 11 Boston Way in Biltmore Village.

Diana says she fell in love with jewelry when she was a little girl playing with her mother’s jewels. She grew up in the Middle East in a home filled with paintings and sculptures that gave her an appreciation for art and instilled in her an insatiable desire to create.

Making jewelry meshes perfectly with the artist’s love for geometry, color, pattern, and sculpture. “Designing jewelry is an expression of who I am and where I’ve been,” says Diana, whose mother is Asheville-based artist Sahar Fakhoury. She adds, “And more often than not, it is simply the product of me making something that I think is beautiful. My hope is that others will feel the same.” The Grand Bohemian Gallery discovered Diana’s talents in the beginning days of her jewelry line, and has been carrying her work since 2010. Vadim Bora, the late international sculptor, painter, and jewelry designer, was Diana’s early mentor. The Grand Bohemian Galleries nationwide now carry Diana’s jewelry designs.
