A visiting artist at Haywood Community College from 1988–1990, Steve Lloyd approached Haywood Arts Regional Theatre (HART) with an offer to lead the organization. Now HART’s executive director, he has more than 40 years experience on stage and has led HART through two major capital campaigns.
“Since its founding in 1984, HART has produced more than 250 plays and musicals, and involved thousands on its stage and hundreds of thousands in its audience,” says Steve. “I get to work with very talented people who love what they do.”
Jesus Christ Superstar opens July 8 and runs through the month. On August 5, All My Sons opens along with Harmon’s Den Bistro, allowing patrons to have dinner on the property.
“The Bistro will be a part of the new Fangmeyer Theater, a flexible performance space that will take HART to a new level,” says Steve.
