The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. An Artful Journey: Exploring the Best Art Exhibitions of 2024 with Art Historian Julianna Caro

Join us for an artful journey to the world’s most exciting art centers: Paris, New York, London, and Venice to virtually tour this year’s best museum exhibitions. Each artful journey will begin with a delightful morning drink and pastry from Recess Cafe in Black Mountain followed by an inspiring lecture and discussion with art historian and curator Julianna Caro. Together we will enjoy time to visit and connect and to learn about the birth of Impressionism, the African American artists of the Harlem Renaissance, John Singer Sargent’s use of fashion in his portraiture, and the oldest and most important contemporary art exhibition, the Venice Biennale.

Wednesdays 10:30am-12pm
