The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Chemist Spirts welcomes a group of top comedians for a night of laughs. Enjoy a stunning AVL sunset from the rooftop bar at Antidote while giggling and sipping a classic cocktail.
David Louis is a 10 year stand up comedian. He won Madison’s funniest competition at the renowned Comedy Club on State. He‘s featured at The Improv, Zanies, The FunnyBone, The Punchline. He’s headlined The Laughing Tap, TeeHees, and Comedy Cabin. Seen at Netflix is a Joke at The Store, other comedy festivals Include Laughing Skull, Flyover, Fountain City, Middle Ground, Boston Comedy, Milwaukee Comedy and many more. He’s performed on New York City’s Comedians You Should Know. He’s worked with Micheal Ian Black at historic Turner Hall Theater, and Ian Bagg at The Bend Theater. He’s opened for Jordan Jensen and Ian Fidance on the road, he’s also worked with Shane Torres, Matt Braunger, Moses Storm, and Sam Tallent.
