Antidote Comedy featuring Gilbert Lawand
April 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$15
Every Thursday Modelface Comedy brings the best local and touring comedians to Asheville! This week we have Southern favorite Gilbert Lawand on the rooftop at Antidote!
Chemist Spirts welcomes top comedians for a night of laughs. Enjoy a stunning AVL sunset from the rooftop bar at Antidote while giggling and sipping a classic cocktail.
Born in Baghdad and raised on a Georgia farm, Atlanta comedian Gilbert Lawand likes to complicate preconceived notions about the classic American immigrant story — and he does so with candor and hilarity.
Lawand has long been a beloved fixture in East Atlanta Village, known for hosting the annual Red Clay Comedy Festival and performing on local stand-up stages for nearly two decades.
The veteran comedian’s first full-length special, “Iraqi Born, Georgia Bred,” is out now on Apple TV+ and was filmed at The EARL.
