The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Join us for an electrifying week-long Summer Dance Intensive designed to push your limits, refine your technique, and explore new styles with various top industry professionals! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or looking to elevate your craft, this program is built to challenge and inspire. Get into shape and get ready for the 2026-27 dance season with this intensive!
What to Expect:
✅ Daily Ballet & Dance Conditioning to strengthen technique & flexibility
✅ Variations Class to master precision & artistry
✅ Dynamic choreography sessions exploring everything from Broadway to Hip Hop to Aerial Silks to Contemporary to Latin
✅ Special guest instructors bringing fresh perspectives & expertise
✅ A final performance to showcase your growth & hard work!

🕘 Camp Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00pm
🎬 Showcase: Friday at 3:30pm — don’t miss it!
💲 Price: Price: $355; price increases to $375 on April 1
Each day will include a significant amount of strengthening, training and choreography. But we will break the intensity up with crafts, and even a dance movie! Bring all of your dance shoes for various styles. Dance attire and hair is appreciated. Prior dance experience suggested but not required.
