The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. CAMP: Royal knights and fairy lights – July 20-24

✨ THE ROYAL KINGDOM! Summer Camp – Full Day or Half Day (ages 4–7) ✨
Let it go — and step into a world filled with brave heroes, daring adventurers, magical kingdoms, and powerful royals! ❄️👑🦁
This exciting week brings together your child’s favorite characters from Frozen and beyond — including queens, princes, wizards, beasts, snowmen, mermaids, pirates, and more.
Campers will:
Learn songs and scenes inspired by royal adventures inspired by movies and Broadway hits such as Frozen, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid
Play imagination-filled creative games
Learn basic choreography and movement for storytelling
Do royal crafts as a souvenir, props or part of the showcase
Share their characters and scenes during Friday’s Showcase!
Full-day campers will have lunch, extra crafts and often a movie in the afternoon after the half-day kids leave

🕘 Camp Hours:
Full Day: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
OR
Half Day: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🎬 Showcase: Friday at 11:30am for both full and half-day camps — don’t miss it!
💲 Price:
Full Day: $340 (rises to $360 on March 1)
Half Day: $195 (rises to $215 on March 1)
