The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Every Friday Modelface Comedy brings you the best comedians from all over the country, and this week we have Will Abeles from Nashville!
Will Abeles is a stand-up comedian, producer and podcaster based out of Nashville, TN. Originally from Hagerstown, MD, he began his career in Boston while attending Emerson College. He moved to Nashville in January of 2021 after 8 years of honing his craft in NYC. In October of 2021, Will was voted the third best comic in Nashville by readers of the Nashville Scene.
In December of 2017, Will’s self-produced debut comedy album “Regrets of My Father” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. Following the success of his album, Will was featured in festivals all across the East Coast including the Wiz City Comedy Festival in Philadelphia, WOOtenanny in Worcester, the Baltimore Comedy Festival, the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, the Charm City Comedy Festival and the North Carolina Comedy Festival. He’s also the co-host of the My Funny Friends podcast alongside Drew Harrison.
