The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Heritage Fire

Taking place at The Horse Shoe Farm in Asheville on Sunday, July 13, the all-inclusive, walk- around tour will feature a lineup of local chefs and artisans, each grilling globally inspired, heritage-breed proteins al fresco. The offerings include a wide array of meats and heirloom vegetables from the region’s top family farms and local purveyors. Brought to you by top culinary event producers a21, Heritage Fire educates consumers and offers hands-on experience with honest food sourced straight from the farm.
An all-star cast of top chefs from Asheville and beyond will be on-site serving up delicious bites prepared over live fire. Participating talent include Alex and Ashleigh Baxevanis (Feta Flav Greek Taverna), Benjamin Sullivan (Cranford Bros BBQ), Brett Suess (The Silo Cookhouse at The Horse Shoe Farm), Daniel Valladares (Root & Bone), Fernando Desa (Goya Foods), Jason Sweeney (Asheville Proper), Mike Rednak (Indaco), Mountain Madre (Mountain Madre), Tory Bogin (Claywood), Tyler Slade (Bargello) and more!
