How Long Will It Last?

April 10 @ 11:00 am - April 16 @ 4:00 pm

IMMERSIVE FLORAL INSTALLATION
– a contemplation on impermanence, grief, & flowers –

TRACKSIDE STUDIOS
4/10-4/16, 11am to 4pm

Designed to die, each day a new experience!

“How long will it last?” is a common question in a florist’s career and a mirror to our impermanence. Inspired by the reverence, companionship, and guidance of a death doula, we want to invite the public to hold hands with existence and mortality.

Fascinated by the ephemeral, the objective is to create an immersive portrayal of the transitions from life to death in a way that challenges our measure of worth by longevity and durability. Our installation will be composed of flowers and plant material and enhanced by play of light, reflection, height, and poignant ephemera to envelope participants in the spectrum of transience and grief.

The creative team is: Hanna Zahory @gulbaaz_, Grace Bates-Toulson @willowandwheel, Simon Bonneau @singeavl, Allison Omlor and Gabrielle Thompson
