The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Modelface Comedy Presents: Laughs for SNAP as part of the Comedy For Community series
Locals supporting locals is the heart of Asheville.
Comedy for Community brings your favorite comedians together each month to support the town we love through a variety of local charities and organizations. This month we are partnering with MANNA Foodbank!
The government is shutdown and no longer funding SNAP and other food programs in America. 42 million Americans are losing their food benefits and will need assistance from local foodbanks.
We need to come together for to support our community and prevent increasing hunger in WNC.
Ticket sales from this event are going to MANNA Foodbank. We will also be collecting non-perishable goods at the door.
MANNA FoodBank’s mission is to involve, educate, and unite people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina.
Thanks to a strong community of donors, volunteers, and food donors, MANNA stretches every resource possible to provide food to more than 100,000 people facing food insecurity across the region, and we can provide FOUR MEALS for every $1 donated.
Come laugh, learn, and support your neighbors.

Tickets: $18.00 advance, $22 day of
Premium Seating: $25.00 (100 meals)
MANNA Premier Seating: $125 (500 meals!!!)
