The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Paintings and Drawings Exhibit Reception
April 18 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Instead it focusing on a specific theme, this show is all about the method of creation, painting and drawing. This promises to be an interesting exhibit with unique collection of artwork rendering different subjects.
Please join us for the reception on the 18th from 4:00 – 6:00pm. If you cannot make the reception, drop by before April 28 to see the impressive talent of our community! While you are in, don’t forget to vote on your favorite artwork. The People’s Choice Award winner will be announced on our website and social media.

Artists, you are encouraged to apply and share you passion and talent with the community. You do not need to be a member of Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League to apply. It’s a great opportunity to have your works shown. You are permitted to sell you work too. (See the Call for Artists page on our website for details.
