Reception | Veteran Obsolete: Geoffrey Bowton

September 10 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

Featuring glass work by military veteran Geoffrey Bowton, this exhibition draws upon Bowton’s own experiences with combat deployments to confront the emotional and psychological challenges faced by veterans re-entering civilian life. Through the symbolic use of military gear, he ushers viewers into the complex landscape of post-service reality: depression, suicide, PTSD, and the unresolved echoes of armed conflict. Join us for the exhibition reception on Thursday, September 10, from 5–7 PM.

Parking is free for this event at Bardo Arts Center. The address of the event is 199 Centennial Drive, Cullowhee, NC 28723. This event will include a gallery talk by Geoffrey Bowton, light appetizers, and beverages.
