The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. Southside Community Farm Spring Fundraiser

Join Southside Community Farm for their Spring Fundraiser at New Belgium Brewing on Saturday, April 6, from 1-4 PM.
There is no entry fee! Attendees are encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation directly to the farm through their campaign page or via check. Donations can also be made in advance of the event.

–Cold beers on tap from one of Asheville’s most beloved breweries
–Free elderberry cuttings from Southside Community Farm to take home
–Free native trees from Asheville Greenworks to support local reforestation efforts (while supplies last)
–Youth education booth
–SCF merchandise for sale
–Information on ways to get involved with SCF in 2025
This event is part of the farm’s campaign to raise $50,000 in support of its Black food sovereignty initiatives, including free neighborhood food programming, youth education, community farming & education, workshops, and outreach efforts in 2025.
