Wicked Weed Brewing and Worthwhile Sounds will present the inaugural AVLFest, a citywide celebration of music and community spanning 20 stages throughout Asheville, August 3 through 6.
More than 200 acts are slated to fill concert halls, bars, and outdoor stages, including the storied Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog, Nikki Lane, Sarah Shook & The Disarmers, local and regional heavyweights Tyler Ramsey, Toubab Krewe, Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters, Asheville’s famed ragtime revivalist spectacle The Blue Rags, and so many more.
Performances will be held throughout the weekend with wristbands granting passholders priority entry to all AVLFest official participating venues, as well discounts at numerous local retailers and restaurants, and presale access and discounts to two separately ticket AVLFest standalone events – Americana band Watchhouse, performing at The Outpost on August 3, and rock outfit Kurt Vile & The Violators at Highland Brewing on August 4.
Committed to supporting local community causes, AVLFest has partnered with several area nonprofits including RiverLink, Black Wall Street, Homeward Bound, and Campaign for Southern Equality. In addition to raising awareness for their respective missions, a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to benefitting the nonprofits.
Passes for AVLFest are now available and are $100 for general admission and $250 for VIP. Local patrons who would like to support AVLFest while sparing online ticketing fees can purchase passes at The Orange Peel, Harvest Records, Records in the RAD, and The Grey Eagle.
