The newest member of a family of restaurants including Filo, Post 70 and East Village Grille, Post 25 in South Asheville is holding its grand opening on December 10 from 6 p.m. until midnight. There will be live entertainment, bourbon and vodka specials, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and prize giveaways. Touted as the hottest new hangout on the south side, the restaurant will also unveil its Jim Beam Slushy machine at this free event.
“We are exceptionally humbled and excited to bring our high level of food, cocktails and service to the communities of south Asheville and Hendersonville,” says Post 25 general manager Emilios Papanastasiou. “Our goal is to create a community gathering center at Post 25, an environment where the people of the surrounding areas can come and feel comfortable and welcomed while enjoying an incredible product.”
The Papanastasiou restaurant family started East Village Grille (EVG)—known for its award-winning Tiger Wings—more than 25 years ago. Right next door to EVG are Filo and Post 70, a combination European style café by day and a craft cocktail indulgence bar by night.
Up-and-coming restaurant/lounge Post 25 offers many of the same food and drink menu items as the sister Papanastasiou establishments, adding special offerings of its own as well. Patrons can enjoy a nice cold beer and some wings while watching a game, or have a craft cocktail by the fire, then a three-course meal paired with a delicious wine.
“I couldn’t be more elated,” says Papanastasiou, “at this opportunity to grow our family owned business with the same level of essence we have provided in east Asheville for decades.”
Post 25 is located at 2155 Hendersonville Road in Arden, the former home of the German Black Forest restaurant. Learn more at post25avl.com or by calling 828.676.2577.
