Sundays Live@Aloft features Goldie and the Screamers on Sunday, October 30, from 5–8 p.m. The concert, which takes place at Aloft Asheville Downtown’s rooftop Air Level, 51 Biltmore Avenue, is the last event of 2016 Live@Aloft, a series of fundraisers in its second year. The night’s proceeds will benefit Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing better lives for animals throughout Western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.
“In 2014, we partnered with Charlie’s Angels to launch a foster dog adoption program,” says David McCartney, general manager, Aloft Asheville Downtown. “We take in one dog at a time, who lives in the hotel and can be adopted by hotel guests or locals. To date, the program has found forever homes for more than 65 dogs. We’re humbled to further support Charlie’s Angels through our October Live@Aloft event.”
Raffle tickets for a package donated by Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and valued at $600 will be on sale for $5 and the winner of the season-long raffle will be announced.
Concertgoers can enjoy the view from the rooftop as well as craft brews, cocktails and light snacks from W XYZ Bar while experiencing the live performance by ‘groovy and gritty soul band’ Goldie and the Screamers, an Asheville favorite.
“Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue is a great organization with a great cause,” says Caromia Tiller, lead singer, “and we are happy to be a part of this concert series!”
