The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. 2026 Robert Burns Night Supper

Entertainment: piper Alex Stewart; Celtic trio StrathSpan with fiddler Nora Garver, cellist Julia Weatherford, and piper Cathleen Nixon; and dancers from the Asheville Carpenter Academy of Irish Dance.

First Annual Oscar Wong Whisky Tasting will honor the memory of our friendly spirits leader.

Doug Orr will host the Burns Night Seminar featuring a recorded interview with Fiona Ritchie and a very special premier performance by Pete Clark and Muriel Johnstone.

Online Charity Auction and Raffle Fundraiser open for public online bidding and accepting donations and sponsorships to raise funds for Writer in Residence in Dunkeld & Birnam Scotland. Auction and Raffle winners need not be present to claim prizes.

Reception includes Scottish appetizers and cash bar.

Includes three course dinner and full Burns Night ceremony.

Fundraising prize winners announced at After Hours Cèilidh.
