Painter Olga Dorenko

Olga Dorenko

Olga Dorenko has painted for as long as she can remember and has developed her style to express her happy energy with harmony and color. She lends a contemporary interpretation to her otherwise realistic landscapes.

“I am continuously inspired by nature’s variable colors found in both rural and urban landscapes,” she says. “I express my feelings to the world by painting.”

Originally from Russia, Dorenko has lived and created in Asheville for the last 12 years. The daughter of a military official, Dorenko and her family moved around the Soviet Union and lived in Uzbekistan, Siberia, and eastern Ukraine. Even as a young girl, she loved traveling and enjoyed the natural beauty of the countryside. She moved to America in 1998 and became a United States citizen in 2008.

“My paintings highlight color and light,” Dorenko says. “They are inspired by local, national and international landscapes. Nature always plays an important role.”

Olga Dorenko creates at 170 Lyman Street, Suite 5 (Warehouse Studios). She can be reached at olga@olgadorenko.com or 828.713.8362 and found online at olgadorenko.com.
