BANGS Shoes and Blue Ridge Chair Works are teaming up with a number of other area outdoor companies to host the first Asheville Adventure Hunt on Saturday, August 6, at 1 p.m. across Asheville. The event offers fun prizes to adventure seekers and encourages an exploration of the community.
“We’ve mapped out a route using downtown Asheville landmarks so it’s combining homegrown fun with the adventure we all promote,” says Hannah Davis, creator of BANGS Shoes.
Clues will be released on participating social media accounts and each will lead adventurers to various locations. The first three participants to finish will walk away with grand packages. There will be an opportunity to collect free smoothies from Odd’s Cafe, donut holes from Vortex, bracelets from Maritime Supply Company, and Nectar sunglasses along the way.
Combining outdoor experiences with adventure gear, grand prizes include ENO hammocks, Climbmax rock climbing passes, ziplining tour passes, and shoes by BANGS, a shoe company that invests 20 percent of their net profits to help selected entrepreneurs launch new business ideas.
