G Pa Rhymes, aka Gary Wakstein
On Saturday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., children’s book author G Pa Rhymes (Gary Wakstein) will present his newest book, Hay Goes Home. The event will take place in front of Bohemian Baby Boutique in Grove Arcade. “Author events hold a special place in my heart because they allow me to connect with my audience in a unique and engaging way,” says Wakstein. “I thrive on the energy and excitement of the children, seeing their eyes light up as I do my raps and rhymes and as they enter the world of my stories. The joy and laughter that fill the room during these events are truly magical to me.”
G Pa Rhymes was born at the encouragement of Wakstein’s son, who connected his father’s love of rapping and rhyming with a potential career in authoring children’s books. G Pa Rhymes is the author of the Adventures of Cray series, which includes the books Beach Ball Blunder, Cray Saves the Day, A New Day for Cray and the newest addition, Hay Goes Home, a story about bravery. “The inspiration for this book came from my own experiences witnessing acts of courage in everyday life,” says Wakstein. “I wanted to highlight the importance of facing fears and finding strength within oneself.”
